Shifting Does Not Lock Doors

Squeeze the tube to inject a few puffs of graphite into the hole.

Shifting does not lock doors.

Replacing it may require removing the car door panel. The solenoid is bad. This is a cheap and easy fix. A fuse is blown.

When the key is in the ignition and in the on position and when all doors are shut they will automatically lock when you move the shift lever out of park. Step 2 mode 2 cancels the automatic locking and unlocking function so that they do not operate at any time. When i stop and shift back into park they don t unlock as they do on my 03 tahoe.
